Well thanks for the ride Gneech! It was fun. Though I must say, I’m somewhat surpised to have seen a Sam reference without anyone’s fingers being stolen. And so on my continuing comic chain I think I’ll follow your link back and check out Class Menagerie now.
Aww.. finally got a chance to catch up… that’s fantastic. ๐ Although I saw Leonard’s move coming a mile away, it was still a real “Aww!” moment when I read it. And Leona’s reaction to Tiffany saying she had all her albums… her expression was beautiful. Great work, Gneech! I’m so sorry to see the end but you wrapped it up beautifully. ๐
Wow nice ending.
Thanks I followed th story nealr all of the years, just had a break recently glad I took another look, looking forwad to the new Suburban Jungle
And not just single tear fall down… Just one thing… If someone can actualy draw a gay character the way its turn someone gaydar on, its The Gneech. Thank you very much, it was entertaining.
Two days reading for me, although I was up until 4:30 in the morning last night. Great story, great ending. Loved it. Looking forward to reading whatever you decide to do in the future.
Thanks much! ๐ You can always find out what I’m up to at gneech.com … I’m currently working on a short story involving Squash and Stretch for an upcoming collection.
fantastic. an absolutley fantastic comic. been reading it in my spare time for the last week, and for a bit in the middle there it reflected my life. job well done Gneech, great stuff!!! ~ Kam
Well, gotta tell ya. It was a very nice story. Full of comedy, romance, drama, some EXTREMELY CARNAGE scenes. What really caught my attention was the introduction of some of my favorite artists like Mark Stanley and Scott Kellogg. I felt pretty bad that i finally finished reading all your webcomic. But assuredly i say to you. I really like it and i’ll be sure to spread the word abuot your webcomic to everyone i know :D. I’ll be viewing other stuff you have on your official webpage.
Thanks for giving all of us entertainment and laughter, Mein Freund

Great comic Gneech I love reading it alot Tho it kinda took me over a week to read all of it again lmao But the idea of Louis going to college sounds neat Wish you could do it ๐
Happened to search for SJ after not having read since 06 to find this, took the weekend to read through it. Going through the comic back to where I was certainly was nostalgic and I liked seeing how the story shaped up after. The ending left me feeling genuinely happy and though I’d have liked to see the wedding this works just as well.
Guess I’m wasting time with a comment but I guess what I want to say is thank you for making SJ, making it what it was and I wish you well on any current and future projects. Though I had lost track of this comic it felt good to catch up and going through ten years of these character’s lives, silly as it may be for me to say was engaging, perhaps simply because It was something I witnessed from childhood. Well at this point I’m rambling, so again thank you for having made this comic.
Wow I’m so glad that I had gotten back to reading this, it may have taken me awhile to read it from start to finish. Say Gneech maybe you could add in some new charaters to make things more interesting and fun.
Wonderful comic, good sir, this is the second time I’ve “archive binged” this comic and it’s just as enjoyable as the first time. Loved the characters and storylines, I especially loved the “furry SG-1” page way back when (one of my favorite shows). I also enjoyed “NeverNever” which I found last week. Hope to see more from you! ๐
Wow, I just re-read the comic, (after seeing you at confuzzled) and it boggles me how close to the ending it was when I managed to loose track of the comic. However this is one I do re-read again every year or so XD.
And it ends. *sniff*
Ah, well, seems I’ll just have to check out NeverNever and whatever else you got going on over at your website! ๐
Just FYI: Squash’s quote made me laugh, unfortunately, it’d take too long to explain it to whoever was nearby to hear the reason why I laughed. But good job. I really enjoyed reading through this whole comic. Amazingly, though, it’s not the longest I read (I think Freefall might be longer, especially since it’s still going on).
Iยดve just finished reading and I just wanted to say, this was a very lovely comic, and I wish youยดll continue with the rest of the stories one day. ๐
Just finished reading this. And I’ve got to say. This is the best furry comic I have ever seen. I got right into it. And when it ended. Damn. I am so going to read more of your work ๐
Has anyone else here seen the Mio drink additive commercials that involve animals in a bar called “The Watering Hole?” Gneech, if you don’t consider suing on general principal, you should see if these people would be interested in animating your strip.
Seen it, yup. ๐ Considering just how many real bars out there are called “The Watering Hole” (a lot), I don’t think I’d get very far. They’d just shove Madagascar in my face. ๐
Just finished reading the whole series, took me 6 days too complete and thts only coz my boss came back on the first!
I really loved the story, the art, the characters everything!
But theres just one thing thts been bothering me from the beginning!
You started the comic in 1999 yet the earliest comments I’ve seen here are from 2010 onwards after the comic ended
So were the comics first posted on another site and then you moved them here or what???
The comic has been at several sites over the years; the current version of the site was created in 2010. There are older comments on the forums, but even those only go back so far. Unfortunately, a lot of the comment history is just plain lost.
This is really the end. It’s as if a chapter has closed on one of the best parts of my life. This webcomic is amazing. I look forward to seeing your extra work. Keep up the good work!

Wow..I just read the entire archives in one day! Not many comics really do that when I start reading! I will miss this one. ;.;
Also, I’d hit on Drezzer. ;P
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! ๐
…and I’ll tell him you said so. ๐

Dude, this is awesome.
Since i had no life for the past couple of days i read the whole comic from start to finish <.<;
Hope to see more of your work.
Well, I’m glad it brought you some cheer during your lifeless moments! ๐
-TG
Thanks for the comic and the others that you have referenced. I hope you have a nice life and many other great projects to come.
Thankee, glad you enjoyed it!

Well I got to say one thing…. That was best comic i have ever read in my life. and I’m guessing this is the only the begin of a new story right?
Well, thank you very much! And yes, there will be more Suburban Jungle as time goes on. ๐
-The Gneech
Thank you very much for this! A friend referenced this comic to me years ago and I enjoyed it ever since. Glad to see you back.
Possibly one of the best comics I have ever read. Please make more of it.
I hope there’s going to be more SJ.
We GOTTA know what happens next.
(or maybe what happens with Tiffany and Leonard’s kid/s. That would be a good plot)
took me a week to read from start to fin

I’m sure that if/when new SJ stories appear, there’ll be new characters. ๐ Glad you enjoyed it!

Sigh. I just reread it all AGAIN! I miss this comic! XP
Aww. ๐ Thank you very much!

I am just sad that we never hear from Yin again, or if Athena ever gets a cub for her and her husband.
Get an artist! I want more stuff!
You make it sound so easy! ๐

Wow… I just wish there was more to come. This is comic… 3? that I’ve seen end. 1=Concession 2=2WayMirror 3=Suburban Jungle
Well i personally find it a little odd to end it at this precise point but good comic.
the aliens were wearing Sam type environmental suits but were not space squids thus no missing wallets/fingers.
And it ends. *sniff*
Ah, well, seems I’ll just have to check out NeverNever and whatever else you got going on over at your website! ๐
